So, my morning routine, I will be perfectly honest, is a little bit different every day, due to the young children. It really did allow me to carve out space for myself. Don't do what I did back in the day, because the thing is when you're intentional about tracking stats and metrics, whichever ones make sense toso if you're like, Well, what do I track? well, what do you want to know? What do you think would be important to know? And today it is run like a well-oiled machine, and it eliminates so many headaches. I'm a photographer and business strategist from Newport Beach, California. And I love lists. I have a tendency to want to be somebody that checks things off their list. I love it. So if you don't know one of them, go check them out. I'm sure it will change and become more robust as my girls get older and I reclaim more of my time in the morning. So I like both. I also wish I would have found a system like the Full Focus Planner, which didn't exist back then. We could have done this a whole lot earlier. And it's really habits and practices and being consistent with what you're doing. That's another thing I've done in the past where I'd get discouraged by the numbers, so I just stopped looking. And I wasn't sure if they had morning rituals, but I wanted to know. You can't do a four-day workweek if you don't know what the heck you're doing every single day. I believe that defining what it means for you to take care of your mental health should be something you do within the first week of becoming an entrepreneur. If I would have paid more attention to these types of metrics earlier on, it would have made me a lot more intentional as an entrepreneur. And I also know that if I don't have a routine, if I don't have a morning ritual, it's really easy to skip the morning tune up. So those are my things in the morning is primarily spending time with my kids, my wife, and my doggy, and getting out in nature and getting a little exercise. And, look, even if that sounds like a lot or whatever, even on some days, going for a walk or, for me, jumping in the ocean is really all I need to kind of set the day right. Watch. We think we are multitasking but we are actually doing multiple task switches throughout the task we are trying to complete. And then when I came up for air, I found, one, that it felt a little bit lonely. And a little bit goes a long way, even if its in the chaos of young children. So I wake up, either when the baby wakes up or when Im done sleeping.
